Printable music charts

Free printable music charts: a piano chord chart, a key signatures chart, the circle of fifths and blank staff paper. Each one fits a single Letter page. Print them for practice, for students, or for the wall by the piano: each one prints without the website around it, and every diagram comes from the same tested music data as the rest of the site.

Charts to print

  • Piano chord chart

All 12 major and 12 minor chords on keyboards, with their notes.

  • Key signatures chart

The 15 major keys and their relative minors, on treble and bass staves.

  • Circle of fifths

The circle with every key, a key signature table and the order of sharps and flats.

  • Staff paper

Blank staves: 6 to 12 a page, with a treble or bass clef, or grand staves for piano.

  1. Open the chart and press Print this page, or use your browser’s print command.
  2. Set the paper to Letter (or A4) and the scale to 100% or Fit to page. The site’s header, footer and buttons stay off the paper.
  3. For a PDF, choose Save as PDF as the printer. The file keeps the drawings sharp at any size.

Each chart has its own page so it can be read on screen too. On the piano chord chart, every chord name links to its own page, where the diagram plays. Use the piano chords and scales pages to hear what a chart shows.

Questions

Are these charts free to print and copy?

Yes. Print as many as you like for yourself, your students or a class, and hand out copies.

Can I get a PDF?

Yes: print the page and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog. Every chart is drawn as vector graphics, so the PDF stays sharp when printed large.

Do the charts print well in black and white?

Yes. The colors help on screen, but every chart also writes the note names or the sharps and flats as text, so nothing depends on color.

Will they print on A4 paper?

Yes: choose A4 and Fit to page in the print dialog. The charts are laid out for US Letter, so A4 leaves a slightly wider margin at the top and bottom.
